Trick or Treat: Halloween Block Party
Mark your calendars, witches, it’s about to get spooky!
On Saturday, October 22nd we’re throwing a Halloween party!! We're shutting the street down for a proper block party with extended hours 12-12, live music, a witch costume contest, a spooky movie, and a whole lot of friends. Here’s the rundown.
We will be open extended hours, 12-12 with a lot of fun planned! In addition to COVEN Brews, you can expect:
Two Food Trucks! Blue Sparrow and deadfish Thai pop-up will be joining us, and we’ve heard there might even be a collaboration menu item popping up
Permanent Hangover merch pop-up
Guest beer taps from Warwick Farms & The Referend
A witch costume contest! We’re finalizing prizes… come in your spellcasting finest for a chance to win…beer, probably
Live music block party! DJ Baked Beans (5-6:30 pm), Fuck yeah, dinosaurs! (7-8 pm), and DJ Dini Daddy (8:30-10 pm).
At 10 pm we’ll move to the brewhouse to wind it down with a late night spooky movie. If you haven’t been voting for the movie of your choice, there’s still time to catch our Halloween movie head to head bracket and vote on our Instagram stories.
As for the beer? We’re getting ready four killer collabs and releases to share:
COVEN x The Answer: Outdoor Swan, our first packaged sour IPA dry hopped with Rakau, Idaho 7, and Citra Lupomax and fruited with apricot, tangerine, and peach
COVEN x DSSOLVR: Paint Job, a beer we’re calling an “Ice Cream Ale.” We dreamed this number up with the alchemists at DSSOLVR, layering soft serve ice cream, freeze dried strawberries, and strawberry puree onto a lucious cream ale base. Get ready for the strawberry ice cream vibes. Contains lactose.
Choosing My Confessions, our first imperial stout. Clocking in at 9%, this chocolatey stout was dosed with toasted coconut, cacao nibs, and butter pecans, reminiscent of freshly baked magic bars
Swatch: Zombie is our latest fruited sour release inspired by a classic Zombie tiki cocktail. Fruited with pineapple, apricot, and key lime and conditioned on toasted coconut and rum-soaked vanilla beans.
All beers will be available starting on Saturday 10/22 on draft and in four packs, and since this is a Trick or Treat event, we’ll also have a limited number of mixed four packs with one of each brand so you can get a little taste of everything.
In addition to all this good stuff, we’re planning prizes for the best Witch costume, a raffle to win a brew day, and Caiti will probably get some good old fashioned halloween candy. We’re super stoked for 10/22, can’t wait to halloween party with yinz! This event is free to attend and 21+ to drink. Rain or shine (if it rains, we’ll just have to brewhouse party!). Get ready for a scary good time.
